A banda, formada em Sydney em 2014, criou este álbum após um período de isolamento rural, resultando num som "reverb-heavy" comparado a Mazzy Star e à estética de David Lynch.

'He's My Baby' é a segunda faixa do álbum de estreia de NOIRE, Some Kind of Blue, lançado em 29 de setembro de 2017.

O teledisco foi filmado no Avalon Restaurant, em Katoomba (nas Blue Mountains, Austrália), o que explica a vibe de "cidade pequena isolada" que a música transmite.

A estética visual é fortemente inspirada no cinema, especificamente no filme Coffee and Cigarettes de Jim Jarmusch.
