O Significado da CançãoO próprio mentor da banda, Ronny Moorings, já explicou em entrevistas que a música aborda o fim doloroso de um relacionamento amoroso, mas sob uma ótica niilista.
A letra descreve alguém que percebe claramente que a relação está a morrer ("All our love fades away" / "I see no light in dark, there's no tomorrow"), mas que ainda assim tenta, de forma desesperada e quase inútil, salvar o que restou. Existe um forte sentimento de frustração, solidão e falta de sintonia mútua ("Can't you see, we don't connect"). O ritmo acelerado da música engana, pois contrasta propositadamente com a sensação de estar preso num vazio emocional e sem perspetiva de futuro (daí o título "Não Há Amanhã").
De onde foi retirado o diálogo inicial?O diálogo dramático entre o homem e a mulher logo na introdução da música foi retirado do filme "Bitter Moon" (Lua de Mel, Lua de Fel), um thriller erótico e psicológico de 1992 realizado por Roman Polanski.
Por que razão foi escolhido?No filme, os protagonistas (interpretados por Peter Coyote e Emmanuelle Seigner) vivem uma paixão avassaladora que gradualmente se transforma numa relação tóxica de codependência, jogos sadomasoquistas e tortura mental.
Ronny Moorings escolheu esse excerto exato porque a atmosfera autodestrutiva do filme reflete perfeitamente a decadência amorosa e o tormento psicológico relatados na letra da canção.
