Overall, game management has potentially a significant impact on biodiversity, and major conservation implications, by affecting habitat structure, food availability and intra- and inter-specific interactions on large tracts of land. The objectives of this workpackage are to synthesise the available data on the effects of gamebird management and hunting on biodiversity. In partircular, the objectives are to review available information on the effect of habitat management and species management (reinforcement of gamebird populations, predator control) on gamebird populations and on species other than gamebirds.
